Why the app is not just a convenience
On most services an app is a nicer wrapper around the same thing. Here there are two concrete reasons it is better.

Installing on iOS
iPhone and iPad go through the App Store where the listing exists in your region. Apple restricts gambling apps by storefront, so in some countries it simply will not appear.

Data and battery, realistically
